Are my Social Security payments considered income?

Yes.  In order to file for bankruptcy, whether it is Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 a debtor must lists all of his assets, completely and truthfully, when filing.  If you regularly receive money from any source, whether it's social security, payroll or from a friend it must be reported to the court.
