I’m Moving to Texas Soon ... When Can I File Bankruptcy?

Welcome to Texas!  In order to file for bankruptcy in a particular state, the code requires that a debtor must have spent the greater part of the last 180 days there.  Simply put an individual wishing to file in Texas must have resided here for at least 91 days.  However, this does not mean that you should not consult the Fears | Nachawati Law Firm as soon as possible.
