Presidents who Filed Bankruptcy

Presidents are known for a lot of things – intellect, shrewdness and charm to name a few. However, there have been at least four U.S. presidents who filed for bankruptcy at one point including Ulysses S. Grant, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. All 3 men went on to have financially successful lives and, ironically, become imprinted on U.S. currency.
Bankruptcy is not a financial death sentence. Similar to the U.S. presidents that filed for bankruptcy, the average person can bounce back from bankruptcy and go on to live a financially fruitful life.
