Will my Current Employer be Notified that I Filed?

No.  Although bankruptcy is a matter of public record, in most cases an individual or entity would have to go look up whether or not a debtor filed for bankruptcy.  Past, current and future employers do not receive a notice when an employee files for Chapter 7 or 13, unless they are creditors.  If the relationship is strictly that of an employer/employee then no notice is distributed.

Do not let fear of public notification keep you from obtaining the fresh start that you need.  The bankruptcy attorneys at the Fears Nachawati Law Firm have years of experience handling delicate situations such as yours in a private and respectful manner.  Contact our law firm today for a consultation.
