Can I Apply for Credit While I’m in Bankruptcy?

It is unlikely that a trustee will approve taking on more debt while an individual is in bankruptcy.  The trustee's function is to represent the interests of the bankruptcy estate, as well as a debtor's creditors, during a bankruptcy administration.  Barring a dire emergency, it does not seem prudent for an individual that is in over his/her head in debt to take on even more debt while seeking a discharge from his/her creditors.

Hiring experienced counsel is about more than just a technical bankruptcy administration.  Counsel's role is also to advice and strategize the best possible way to utilize bankruptcy to achieve a fresh start.  The bankruptcy attorneys at the Fears | Nachawati Law Firm are experienced in working with clients at all levels and is ready to take on your case today.
