Can a Discharged Creditor Reaffirm a Debt?

Absolutely not.  Once a debt has been discharged in a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy the discharge is permanent.  The creditor may, however, object to a discharge in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy within a certain timeframe.  Nonetheless once a debt has been discharged it cannot be revived.

Reliable and knowledgeable counsel is of the utmost importance during a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 filing.  Knowing and fighting for your rights will keep creditors at bay and make your bankruptcy experience as useful as possible. Contact the Fears | Nachawati Law Firm today for more information.
