How Much Does it Cost to File for Chapter 7?

For many debtors with little assets, Chapter 7 is the most viable option.  The filing fee for a Chapter 7 is $299.00 for the Northern District of Texas.  This is just the cost to file with the court and does not include attorneys fees.
